Perjalanan Salib (Journey of the Cross) Celebration 2026

The Church of the Good Shepherd, Setapak, was blessed to host the Perjalanan Salib (Journey of the Cross) from 17 to 20 July 2026. This meaningful occasion brought together parishioners of all ages in prayer, reflection, and celebration of our faith.

On 17 July, the arrival of the Cross was welcomed with various parish activities that expressed the joy, unity, and devotion of our community. Throughout the celebration, the Cross served as a powerful reminder of the great love of Jesus Christ, who willingly suffered and died for our salvation so that we may share in the promise of eternal life.

As we reflected on Christ’s sacrifice, we were reminded that the crosses we carry in our own lives are not meant to discourage us. Instead, they invite us to place our trust in God, persevere through life’s challenges, and continue our journey of faith with courage, hope, and love, following the example of Christ.

The celebration concluded on 20 July 2026 with a special Children’s Mass, where our young parishioners gathered to pray, celebrate the Eucharist, and deepen their understanding of God’s love. It was a joyful conclusion to a grace-filled celebration, inspiring the entire parish to continue walking together in faith as disciples of Christ.
