A Journey of Faith and Fellowship: Celebrating the Feast of the Good Shepherd 2026
The Church of the Good Shepherd recently concluded its vibrant four-day Parish Feast celebration, held from April 23rd to April 26th, 2026. It was a time of deep spiritual reflection, healing, and a powerful demonstration of community love.

Day 1: Walking Together in Oneness
The feast commenced on Thursday, April 23rd, under the theme “To promote oneness in walking together.” The opening Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Frederick Joseph, who set the tone for the week by emphasizing the importance of unity and synodality within our parish family.
Day 2: Deepening Relationships and Divine Healing
On Friday, April 24th, the theme shifted to “To deepen relationships with God’s love.” The day was marked by two significant services:
- 10:00 AM Mass: Specially dedicated to the sick and elderly. Many gathered to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, administered by Rev. Fr. Jonathan Rao.
- 8:00 PM Mass: Celebrated by Rev. Fr. Simon Lau. It was a poignant homecoming, as Fr. Simon was once a parishioner of Good Shepherd before answering his call to the priesthood.
Day 3: Youth Empowerment and the “Table of Dignity”
Saturday, April 25th, was a milestone day for the youth. The church was honored to host S.C.A.N. (Seek | Charism | Accept | Navigate), a program designed to help young people encounter the Lord and listen to their vocational calling. The event saw an incredible turnout of 280 participants from various churches, joined by 72 of our own vibrant youth.
The spiritual climax of the feast was the 6:30 PM Feast Day Mass, presided over by:
- Archbishop Most Rev. Julian Leow
- Rev. Fr. Michel Dass
- Rev. Fr. Simon Labrooy
- Rev. Fr. Mitchel Joseph
Following the Mass, the “Feast of Food” brought the community together. In a beautiful reflection of the Good Shepherd’s heart, Rev. Fr. Mitchel Joseph and the PIHDM leadership organized a special VIP experience. Our “VIPs” were 20 brothers and sisters from the poor, who were seated at beautifully decorated “dome-concept” tables and served personally by our youth. This initiative served as a powerful reminder that in God’s house, the last shall be first.

Day 4: A Grateful Conclusion
The celebration concluded on Sunday, April 26th, with a final Feast Day Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Simon Labrooy. After the liturgy, our BEC zone members hosted a delicious fellowship, allowing parishioners to share a meal and celebrate the success of the weekend.
A Word of Thanks
The Parish of the Good Shepherd extends its deepest gratitude to every volunteer, committee member, and parishioner who contributed their time and talent. Your dedication ensured the 2026 Feast was a resounding success, filled with grace and free of hurdles.
May the Good Shepherd continue to lead and bless us all!
