How will I live Laudato Si’ and take Care of Our Common Home?
The Ministry of Catechetical collaborated with the Ministry of Creation Justice to create the awareness about Laudato Si’
CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME
What is Laudato Si’?
Latin for “Praised Be,” Laudato Si’ is the name of Pope Francis’ encyclical on caring for our common home — planet earth. The letter is addressed to “every person living on this planet” and calls for a global dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet through our daily actions and decisions. With this encyclical, Francis calls the Church and the world to acknowledge the urgency of our environmental challenges and to join with him in embarking on a new path.
So our Holy Communion Students of Year 2024, Created posters by using an area of personal interest creatively expressed how they can take “Care of Our Common Home” and live out their response when listening to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor through a poster creation campaign held recently.
The winning posters will be displayed in the parish as an ongoing commitment to ecology.
“It’s truly amazing what these Standard 3 students have accomplished! They designed these posters entirely on their own. Their creativity and initiative are truly inspiring.”
This version emphasises the students’ independence and highlights their impressive achievement.
The winning posters will be proudly displayed throughout the parish, serving as a constant reminder of our shared commitment to ecological responsibility.
Kudos to both the Catechetical Ministry and the Creation Justice Ministry for their collaborative efforts in raising awareness about environmental issues among our children.
