Good Shepherd Church Celebrates Merdeka 2024
On 31st of August 2024, The Church Of Good Shepherd Celebrated our national day.
The mass started of with All Parish Coordinating Council Members carrying 14 state flags ( 2ft x 4ft each) and 2 (3ft x 6ft) Jalur Gemilang Flag.
The 14 State flags were held by all of our Parish Coordinating Council members, while the 2 Jalur Gemilang was held by PCC Chairman Mr. Gerard Sebastian and PPST Chairman Mr. Shaun.
The procession of the flags was also followed by Children of Good Shepherd Church, holding small hand carry Jalur gemilang flags, a total of 10 Children walked during the Entrance hymn.
After Thanksgiving Hymn, all Flags returned to the altar and we recited the Ikrar Rukun Negara, then after sang our national anthem which is our Negaraku Song.
As for the final Hymn we had a very special guest, Dato Luciana Francissca Peter who sang for us “SETIA”, with our very own Evergreen Choir and Music Team. here is the video taken during the final hymn.
The celebration was so meaning full as our parishioners all turned up for mass with their Best Malaysian Attire.
