Dear GSC family,

Greetings of peace. I wrote to you on 14th February, yesterday only and you might be thinking why so quickly, I’m writing again. It’s because Lent 2021. Yes, Ash Wednesday is on 17th February, this Wednesday.

Many felt Churches will be opened and many asked me when Father. All this is because the Unity Minister suddenly said (13 February) that non-Muslim places of worship can be opened with maximum 30 persons at one time. I have to say, sorry and I believe in the wisdom of the Church especially the call for Churches to be closed still.

Why? Read between the lines with the sign of times, cases are still increasing, many deaths in a day, doctors & nurses are tired, Hospitals are very full, MCO is still ON; moreover the Emengecy Rule is still in place, then why why why open? Sad indeed, YES?. Hence, let’s continue to pray for our beloved country Malaysia and for the Church’s wisdom to continue with goodwill for all people. Remember for safety of all peoples.

As for Ash Wednesday, please follow the ArchKL – Lent 2021 especially in the preparation of Ashes at home. Ash Wednesday is a important day as we begin our Lenten sacrifices, let it be from the ♥️. Do the preparation of ashes as a family in prayer, let it be a special time for your family. That is what the three fold call of Lent are – Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving in secret of the ♥️.

So my dear family GSC, let’s be patient and humble in this time. Fr. Ferdi and myself are one with you. Trust God, Church and ourselves for all things will come anew. Believe in Jesus in His words, I’m with you until the end of times.

you all.
Fr. Chris

Dear GSC Family,

Greetings and Peace. I believe you and I heard that MCO will begin on 13 January until 26 January, 2020. Therefore, take care and please stay at home. Only leave house if necessary and please stay safe.

All activities in GSC will be CANCELLED for now. Including the drive through Holy Communion on 16 January, Saturday is CANCELLED. Sorry, my dear GSC family.

If anything urgent please call or WhatsApp me or Margaret at office. With God being on our side, we will overcome everything in JESUS NAME.

Love you all always.

Dear GSC Family,

Good Morning

Blessings abundantly in the New Year 2021 and we pray for a better year. From 11 January, Monday onwards all Christmas decorations can and will be taken down in the Church and its surroundings (you can take all yours out too). Thank you to all who made these possible and beautiful. Syabas!

The Online live BM Mass on 3 January, Sunday from GSC via KUBM FB and YouTube was good. Syabas! We are waiting for a go ahead to be live through ArchKL for all in the AD.

A special day, 9 January, Saturday for our Confirmation Candidates 2020. AB Julian has given us, Fr. Ferdi and myself, permission to celebrate 3 Confirmation masses. Sorry for all this and yes it’s sad indeed but it must happen and go on. The 3 masses are only restricted with 20 persons per-mass. Sorry parents you can’t attend, very sorry. However, we will be going Online Live from GSC and the link will be sent later. Please, parishioners of GSC, pray for all our 46 candidates, parents and Catechists who make this possible. God will lead us forward.

Many things are enfolding at GSC despite the ongoing pandemic. However, please continue to be safe and healthy. Always in prayer for all of you.

and Miss all of you.

Dear GSC Family,

Blessed Christmas to all of you. Hope you are well and the NEW NORMAL CHRISTMAS was beautiful with family. I had my special time with my own family (with strict SOP) and we had a fun time together. I thank God for my own family and most of all, my family at GSC. Yes, I miss all of you.

Yes, time is passing and soon we will be in the NEW YEAR 2021. I wish to say thanks, love you and sorry for 2020.

Thanks to everyone of you, who always wish the best.

Love you all, although we could not see & hear from each other face to face, we still communicated differently.

Sorry, if there was any short comings on my part, in this New Normal 2020. Whatever situation or state we were and are in, we won the race and now we move to NEW YEAR 2021. Hoping with many challenges, we will strive to do better. God bless and lead us more an more.

We are trying and hoping to help more in the ArchKL level, God willing. GSC KUBM will be having Online BM Mass from GSC on 3 January, Sunday – Feast of the Epiphany at 11.00am (only for GSC parishioners). It’s a trial run and hoping if good, we help in the ArchKL Online BM weekend Masses. Join us on 3 January, in GSC KUBM Facebook or YouTube. See the bulletin or further WhatsApp information on this in time.

All in all, we must move forward in everything especially in FAITH. Don’t let anything stop in our bowing and experiencing God in this NEW NORMAL.

My humble request, please pray always (don’t lose heart) and stay safe always too. Be alert every time in whatever or wherever you are.

Love and Miss all of you.
Fr. Chris & Fr. Ferdi.

Dear GSC Families,

Love you all . I believe you have seen n heard (the Chancellor letter dated 17 December) that there will be NO Masses in ALL Churches in the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur for Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021. Sad indeed but believe me, it’s the wisdom of the Church of Kuala Lumpur.

However, as normal please follow the Masses Online from ArchKL TV. The Program of Masses are already in the GSC bulletin.

I know all of you miss GSC and I really miss all of you. Believe me, I wish to see all of you especially our children. So I hope, ALL OF YOU can connect with me tomorrow, 21 December, for “Journey towards Christmas – An Evening with Fr. Chris” at 8.00pm tomorrow. Please come join me and hope a simple surprise of LOVE can be shared. HOPE TO SEE YOU. The link will be sent to ALL your BEC’s leaders tomorrow morning.

I always pray for protection on all of us during this Pandemic. Please, please please stay safe always.

Miss you all so much. Love you,
Fr. Chris

Dear GSC Family,

Hope all of you are well and I believe many of you are waiting for the change in the Pandemic situation but we still need to wait with patience. However, I’m sure there is HOPE in TIME for ALL to be good again.

However Advent, Christmas and the New Year 2021 is close. The GSC PPC has come out with a GSC PASTORAL LETTER in different languages (see below) for all of you. Read carefully and let’s get excited with our faith in Jesus.

Dear GSC Family. Be blessed as I write this note to all of you.

I believe all of you would have seen and read the KLAD Chancery Notice today, 25 October 2020 calling all in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan (from Monday onwards) on all Celebrations and Programs to be suspended until 8 November. Yes, it’s sad but it’s happening.

Hence, everything is happening Online in the Archdiocese and parishes. Syabas to many different ministries at GSC who are already reaching out to all through Online systems. Congratulation and Blessings.

To continue this, we will be having Online Mission Rosary for all on 31 October at 4.00pm. I believe you all have received an E-poster on this already. More information will come later. Come and join us to Pray the Mission Rosary.

Besides that, All Souls Day is on 2 November – please, please, please, stay home and pray for our loves who have passed on. Use the AD Liturgical Commission – Para-liturgy in your homes as a family. Rest assured Fr. Ferdi and myself will offer the Mass personally remembering All Souls.

Please, continue to be safe and inform me or office or Our PPC your needs and we will try to act on it. We want you all to always be safe and be blessed abundantly with all your wishes.

Love you all.
Fr. Chris
25 October, 2020 at 6.00pm.

Greetings and Peace GSC FAMILY.

Hope all of you are well and staying safe. Yes, from 7 October 2020, all celebrations and programs in Churches of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are suspended.

Sad indeed but I believe you and me will say, its a wise decision especially when we hear and see there is a spike increase of COVID-19 cases. Therefore, my humble request, BE SAFE, STAY ALERT and PRAY.

Due to this our two (2) main celebrations in October, CONFIRMATION (10 October) and FIRST HOLY COMMUNION (24 October) is postponed. Rest assured when things comes safe, we will surely resume this fast. Hence, Candidate, Parent’s, God-parent’s and ALL, continue to pray and hope. Do all the preparation spiritually and remember to pray.

So to help us to pray, it’s October – YES! It’s Rosary Month. Hope we can join our BEC’s Online Rosary or even pray as a family at home. Please, don’t forget this basic call for prayer, as Pope Francis invites us to pray the Rosary.

As for masses when and how it will resume, we will inform in time. My continuous call for ALL. NEVER FORGET to BOW DOWN in HOMAGE to GOD in PRAYER especially in this trying time of COVID-19.

Love and miss you all. One in prayer Always.

Fr. Chris
