Saint Joseph of Happy death

Saint Joseph is also the patron of a happy demise. He died with Mary and Jesus at his side. At first, Joseph was scared to face his demise because of his sadness of not fulfilling more things in his life. But Mary and Jesus ensured him that those who do great deeds will have a good life and protection. Joseph dies peacefully with those promises. His holy death reflected his holy life. He was brave to accept his demise because he was a caring husband to Mary and a loving father to Jesus.

Reflect

  • Do we feel a great fear, worriedness of unsettled matters, missing our loved ones, when death crosses our mind?
  • Do we constantly live in fear with the thought of death that cripples us to continue to live our fullest?

  • Are we leaving our lives every day in God’s presence with joy and to face every situation with the strength of God?
  • Are we making time to console and share Christ with those who are lonely, the poor, the lost, the elderly, etc.?
  • Do we attempt to console and comfort those who have lost their love ones?
  • Have we not forgiven or kept in touch with someone dear to us?
